The first set was won by the UST Tigresses with the score 25-23. Taking revenge against UST, the FEU Lady Tamaraws showcased their teamwork and won sets 2,3 and 4. The score was 25-20, 25-23 and 25-23 respectively.
The Tamaraws won this game largely because of the best player Rosemarie Vargas' terrific performance as she had 27 points, 21 of which came from her powerful attacks, with 2 blocks and 4 successful serves.
The second reason why they won this game was that they showed a great floor defense against the attacks of UST's Maruja Banaticla, Maika Ortiz and Judy Caballejo.
