Fire Blaze at GAISANO CAPITAL SOUTH Shocks Cebuanos

     CEBU CITY -- For about 12 hours, firefighters continue fighting a blaze that gutted an eight-storey shopping mall in downtown Cebu City early Friday.

     The fire started at 12:42 a.m. at the second floor of the Gaisano Capital South mall at the corner of Leon Kilat and Colon streets here.

     A mall security guard said, he heard a loud explosion before the fire.

     At least 30 fire trucks from different municipalities in Cebu province have responded to the fire scene but fire officers are having difficulty containing fire due to thick smoke bellowing from small openings of the mall.

     The blaze has reached a general alarm.

     The cause of the fire and the amount of damage is still unknown as firefighters continue its operation.

     The fire broke out just as the mall, which also houses its corporate center, was to have its mall-wide Christmas sale.

     At least a thousand employees are feared to lose their jobs due to the fire.

CITE FAMILY DAY 2011

      The CITE Technical Institute celebrated Family Day 2011 last Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.

      The get-together was started with the Holy Mass. Then, the Lightning of the Advent Wreath. Next, the Consecration of the CITE Family to the Holy Family of Nazareth.


     The highlight of this get-together was the Christmas Dance Presentations of the First Years. All the audience shouted, applauded and enjoyed the performance of each section. The students showed their hidden talents to their parents and guardians.

     There were fun-filled games, raffles and surprises.

     The winners of the Christmas Dance Contest were 1-D Electromechanics Technology  as the 3rd place, 1-E Electromechanics Technology declared as the 2nd place and 1-M Electromechanics Technology proclaimed as the champion.

     Finally, we, together with our parents proceeded to our respective areas for the advisory Christmas Parties.We took our sumptuous lunch there.

     It's very different from our previous Christmas parties. We had no exchange gifts but we really enjoyed our Christmas Party. 

Ang Guro: Hindi lahat ng kaalaman sa aklat nagmumula

     Last Friday, November 25, 2011. We, the CITE students watched the extraordinary play entitled,"Ang Guro The Musicale". It was a very inspiring and interesting play especially for the teachers and students. The casts of the play were very talented and amazing. It was directed by Mr. Paulito Ballano. 

     
    Blast of questions came into my mind like: How does a teacher help and mold their students to be a good citizen in our country? How will they act as a teacher to their students?

     I learned a lot from the musical play I watched. Let us love our teachers like our own mother.
